1999 Ch. 7. Bankruptcy Car financing now? Autoscores?
Julia asked:
I filed Bankruptcy in 99. I have driven the same car since then and the payments were never late and doubled up on them at the end of the loan. My credit is good, no late payments on anything since 99. I know my fico score but not my autoscores. Is it worth getting these before I apply? What kind of financing am I looking at getting for a car loan/lease? I have very little debt/no debt in a few months.

I would think you'd get good financing. I'm not sure what you mean by kind of financing though.
I just know that there is always someone willing to give a car loan. I have a few credit cards that are outstanding from my early years of college and I got a car loan from Ford's credit bureau and was approved by a couple of others.
Actually, if you have little or no debt, I'd put what you expect to pay over the first few months of the loan into savings (or more) and make a nice size downpayment.
And just so you know, online pharmacy prescription my ex had filed for bankrupcy at around the same time and he got a decent carloan about 4years later. It shouldn't be a problem.
