Sennie asked:

I went to a car dealership that promised they would give $2,000 if they couldnt finance you. Well after so long they called me saying I got financed for $32,000. I was 19 at the time so all I got was a $13,000 used 2005 ford taurus. Ok so later on the salesman called me and says "I adjusted your income to about 40/yr (which I was only making about 30/yr) so that you could get approved" not thinking straight I was just like Ok because I had already signed the paperwork and everything done not realizing why he did it. Well on top of that the car had been in a wreck so I have brought it to a ford dealership 4 times to get things fixed. I have only had the car 6 months now and I would like to legally have that dealership I bought from, make them pay off my loan and give me my 2,000 like they promised. Now my question is, what are my options or am I screwed completely, I wouldnt think so considering the salesman gave false information to the bank, not me. What do you say

Additional Details
Well no I did not know it was wrecked when I get it, it drove fine until about a month later it died on me while on the freeway. Also no he did not tell me about lying until way after I signed the paperwork.

Well, to answer your $2,000 part, those are commonly used teasers, however you would not be entitled to it. Altering an application is illegal, however since you knew about it and it has your signature on the app, then there isn't much with that. What dealerships do is approve you at 21% interest and/or with maybe 90% down, which is basically paying cash for the car. I know it's not what you wanted to hear, but it's how the 'scam' works.

As far as them taking back the car, when was the car wrecked? If it was totaled, then that's one thing, overseas online pharmacy but if it was just in an accident and repaired, then there is nothing illegal about it....even though it can be unfair. Even new cars are allowed a certain amount of repair work without disclosure of any kind. I hope this helps you!
